This is where we find the source of our magical Cacao beans – the Theobroma Cacao tree. Cherished by ancient civilisations for centuries, these sacred plants are sustainably cultivated by local farmers using techniques and traditions passed down through generations.
Transformation from Cacao Pod to Cacao Nibs
From moment Cacao pods are tenderly hand-harvested, a story of transformation unfolds. The flesh of the Cacao fruit is removed, and after careful fermentation and sun-drying, the beans (which are actually seeds) reach the pinnacle of flavour. They are then gently roasted, husked and crushed, resulting in Cacao nibs.
Crafting SoulPops from Cacao Nibs
The pure Cacao nibs journey to Australia where their next stage of magical evolution continues. We grind the nibs into liquid form (known as Cacao liquor) and infuse it with natural sweetness before hand-crafting our SoulPops.
